The average number in a group of Zebras is about 20 with a dominant stallion, several adult mares, and their foals. The stallion has exclusive mating rights over the mares and other males will have to fight with him for those rights during breeding season

Gemsbok are able to survive in even the harshest conditions thanks to an intricate network of blood vessels called carotid rete, situated in the nose which cool down the blood supplied to the brain, thus protecting the gemsbok from deadly temperatures.

Blue Wildebeest

The Blue Wildebeest is often confused with the Black Wildebeest, but the two are actually quite different. The Blue Wildebeest has a long shoulder-length mane while the Black Wildebeest has a stiff mane that stands upright.
